Dr. Dominique James is an Educational Consultant and founder of James & Co. Learning Solutions, LLC. in where she delivers strategic, data-driven learning solutions tailored to schools, organizations, individuals, and communities. With nearly 20 years of experience in learning and development, she has partnered with educators, leaders, and businesses to design training and instructional strategies that improve performance, engagement, and equity.

Her career spans roles as an instructional specialist in the U.S. and abroad, instructional designer and project director. She has led multimillion-dollar federal grants, district-wide initiatives, and innovative curriculum projects that transformed learning and development at scale. Grounded in frameworks like Universal Design for Learning (UDL), her work consistently drives institutional change and sustainable growth.

Known for her expertise in professional learning, program management, and stakeholder engagement, Dr. James specializes in creating inclusive, data-informed solutions that deliver measurable results. Her approach blends strategic vision with practical implementation - helping organizations and schools translate challenges into meaningful opportunities for success.

Beyond her consulting work, Dr. James is the author of When You Are Away, a children’s book inspired by her experience as a proud Air Force and mother of three. Through both her professional and personal journey, she champions academic and social-emotional support for military-connected students and families.

A native of Bennettsville, South Carolina, she first discovered her passion for education as a teen mentoring children in summer and after-school programs. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Winthrop University, and M.Ed. in Divergent Learning from Columbia College and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University.
