Dr. Dominique James is an Educational Consultant and founder of James & Co. Learning Solutions, LLC. in where she delivers strategic, data-driven learning solutions tailored to diverse educational needs.

In her nearly 20 year career within learning and development, Dr. James has served as a classroom teacher (both domestically and abroad), teacher specialist, instructional designer, and project director. She has led large-scale educational initiatives that drive institutional change and performance improvement, specializing in equitable, inclusive learning environments and data-informed instructional design.

Dr. James has successfully managed complex projects - including multimillion-dollar federal grants and innovative curriculum initiatives - using frameworks such as Universal Design for Learning (UDL). Her strengths in change and performance management have helped organizations achieve lasting impact through strategic problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.

Beyond education, Dr. James is the author of When You Are Away, a children’s book inspired by her experience as a proud Air Force and mother of three. Her advocacy focuses on improving academic and social-emotional support for military-connected children.

A native of Bennettsville, South Carolina, Dr. James discovered her passion for teaching as a teen while working in summer and after-school programs serving underserved communities. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Winthrop University, and M.Ed. in Divergent Learning from Columbia College and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University.
